Today is my Father-in-law's Birthday. He is 89. What a wonderful man he is! I have often said that had I gone out and hand-picked a father-in-law, I would never have been able to get the gem I was given. I am very thankful for him! It is also the birthday of my childhood friends (who were also neighbors for most of my growing years), David and Sam Jacobs. Happy Birthday to all three of these fine men!
Well, I finished the table runner. Here is my version of Patrick Lose's pattern - Autumn Leaves. I am sure if he ever saw this, he would see the flaws as well as the changes. I found his pattern in Quilting Celebrations Fall/Winter 2011 issue. It is always fun doing up his patterns as he is a great artist and makes the projects easy to complete.
Here's a close up of the front:
Here's the back. I think it looks kind of cool
Sooo, thank you Patrick for the lovely pattern. Now it's in the mail and off to a new friend!
Hope you have a "sew" wonderful weekend!

I should be sewing. I love to sew. Actually, I love to quilt. But instead, I decided to venture into the world of blogging! Quilting is therapy for me and I spend a fair amount of time looking at other quilters blogs to see what they are up to. Maybe someday I will have some cool insights and photos to help inspire other quilters!
Right now I am finishing up some smaller projects. A table runner for a dear sweet woman who will soon be extended family through the marriage of our children (who are adults - hmmm, how do you refer to your children without making others think they are children), and some small items to donate to the Christian school fund raiser. Then it is on to CHRISTMAS gifts! Yay! I love fall and Christmas.
